color: #80cde6">La mañana amaneció en Gijón con pobres condiciones en el lugar de la competición, lo que obligó a la organización a trasladar las pruebas a Salinas, donde, si bien tampoco era idóneas para la práctica del surf al menos permitieron el desarrollo de las mismas. Con olas de alrededor de un metro dio comienzo la final de Bodyboard Absoluto, en la que el claro favorito de la competición, el canario Jonathan Vega, fue sorprendido por el asturiano Nel Suárez, actual campeón europeo junior.
